Ever
eager to please,
our team is composed of highly trained and amazingly efficient professionals
who have the dedication and experience to get it done, to your complete satisfaction. Offering the most discerning and
particular lady or gentleman, no matter how refined their taste or
proclivity, only the finest of product and delectation and falling all over
themselves to curry favor and throwing caution to the wind, each and every
one of our highly specialized and sycophantic team players is eager to show
every customer, large or small, the same deferential, even reverential
accommodation, no matter how demanding, assuming that such august
personages represent nothing less than the epitome of flamboyant connoisseurship and
sense of tasteful elegance. In short, rather than go into the whole
training and artist statement rigmarole, this seemed like more fun.
Here they
are:
-
Myron (OBG) Gilbert
–
Notable for his almost
total lack of professional training in the arts, this shameless
prevaricator has only one thing going for him; he has been drawing since
he can remember. In particular, he can remember an argument with a first
grade teacher about whether clouds should have black lines around them.
She insisted that they should not. Knowing that she was wrong and that he was right but not
yet having seen Fauvist paintings, OBG had no counter-argument and
waiting until later to finish his drawing. But, to his credit, OBG has ignored such smarty-pants ever since.
Much younger than he looks, seeming not to have a care in the world, OBG is,
nonetheless known for an interestingly peculiar and intense,
stream-of-conscious intellect, a rare ability to engage in unfettered
and flamboyantly dissociative confabulation and a unique talent for prognosticating with uncanny accuracy and unflappable aplomb. A
longstanding supporter of artistic endeavor, his formal training in the
arts included instruction by Edward Millman, the WPA muralist and combat
artist, at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; painting and drawing
instruction at Purchase College; and, for many years, design and figure
drawing studies with Terry Coyle at the Art Students League of New York.
That is, beyond all the baloney and despite myself, I got a pretty good
training.

Leonia von Stent – Famous for her cultured refinement, Madame
von Stent began developing her professional expertise at a very early
age. The only daughter of parents famous in their field,
it was only natural that her discerning eye would be noted even before
it was cultivated in an extensive apprenticeship that took her to
several continents and led to a noteworthy career. Before joining
our team of outstanding experts who know their stuff like no one's
business, Madame von Stent was already a member of the Ancient Music
Chorale, an accomplished equestrian and an ecclesiastical scholar.
Madame von Stent is known for her musical arrangements, scientific
discoveries and free verse poetry on herbal themes. There is no
such person.
